"If Psalm 1 is to be believed, we must not allow our children to stand, sit or walk with those who deny biblical truth and morality. Instead, we must place them in situations that will aid them in meditating on the law of the Lord 'day and night.' Surely this involves how and where they are to be educated." — Voddie T. Baucham Jr.

Africa, doctors and more

God's Story
Last week in God's Story we talked about Adam and Eve in the garden, how the serpent lied to them and how they disobeyed God. I really focused on the consequences of their sin in that they had to leave their home in the garden.
Janelle did some apple stamps with finger paint and then used her thumbs in the watercolors to make the stems.

God's World
This week we began a study on the third day of creation as outlined in our curriculum. We started with Africa. We mostly read books and did some coloring pages. I did make a Power Point to highlight some things about the continent which counted toward my goal for 1000 bits of intelligence for the year.

God's Ways
For math this week we read The Best Bug Parade (MathStart 1). A book about comparing sizes. I made a Power Point presentation and we also watch this video about Goldilocks and the three bears.

God's Servant
The servant for this week was the Doctor. We read a couple of books about doctors and visiting the doctors office as well as watched some videos. I also made a Power Point presentation about taking a trip to the doctor and all of the tools that doctors use. We learned stethoscope, otoscope, blood pressure cuff, tongue depressor, reflex hammer, scale and thermometer which counted towards my goal of 1000 bits of intelligence for the year. :)
