We then took some dolls and put all of the big dolls together and the small dolls together. The dolls are now segregated.
Once I knew that she understood what segregation meant we read our books. We then dramatized the story and that was so much fun. We also talked about what a boycott was and how it was used to change the laws. Here is the video we watched.
Wednesday we talked about Sybil Ludington and watched her story on Liberty Kids which you can get now on Amazon for $5. Thursday was Joan of Arc and William Tell. We watched William Tell on Adventures from the Book of Virtures. We made a banner with the Fleur-de-lis.
We finished the week at Co-op. The kids put on a play of William Tell. They had 30 minutes to write a script, asign characters, make costumes, reherse and preform the play. They did a great job and had a lot of fun.
We had so much fun! I can't wait till next week.
