"If Psalm 1 is to be believed, we must not allow our children to stand, sit or walk with those who deny biblical truth and morality. Instead, we must place them in situations that will aid them in meditating on the law of the Lord 'day and night.' Surely this involves how and where they are to be educated." — Voddie T. Baucham Jr.

I wanted to share some of the resources that we have been using for logic and reasoning. The first is chess. We just started this week and right now we're just learning how the pieces move on the board. My dad taught me how to play when I was a little girl and I have fond memories of playing him in chess. Check here to read about some of the benefits of playing chess.
Next we have Spot it! This is a great game for visual analysis. Visual analysis skills are useful in a number of areas. For more info on that click here and here.
Another great visual game is Pixy Cubes. We are really enjoying this game as well.

Here are some workbooks that we have used or are using. I only do one page from each book per week.
Logic Safari 1
Balance Benders

Logic, visual and critical thinking skills are helpful in math, reading comprehension and a host of other things.
